I haven’t posted much lately, mainly because I have been busy with the rest of life. However, I do want to comment briefly on the elections, albeit late.

I join the ranks and ranks of women who are elated with the turnout last Tuesday. The Dems took the House and the Senate and the new Speaker of the house will undoubtedly be a woman (the first in our history), and a self-proclaimed feminist. These facts alone makes me tingly! As of Friday we had 83 confirmed female members of Congress (RECORD HIGH!).

Some really scary legislation regarding teen rights was shot down here and in Oregon. South Dakota got the word out and blasted the ban on all abortions.

I believe that we have some fantastic momentum to get things done. I am excited to see what else we can do.

Also, I hope to be able to post some more thought provoking stuff soon.
